🌈 rainbowe! Toys

Nothing better than getting snail mail! Spreads of a toy catalog that both kids and adults can enjoy flipping through together.

About the Project

One of my fondest memories of growing up is when my siblings and I would gather around the holiday toy magazine. We'd all have our sharpies and would go to town circling what we wanted under the tree that year. This is the exact same experience rainbowe! wanted for their customers.
Fun and colorful were the two words I kept in mind as I began to draw inspiration for this project. Of course rainbows had to be front and center in the design (I mean come on the name literally has the word "rainbow" in it) so I pulled both the colors and shape but added a twist.

Project Outcome

We ended with spreads that are fun for children and adults to flip through together! Text isn't quite the most fun thing for children to look at (let alone if they can read) so large colorful images of animals and toys are arranged across the pages.
Of course we had to include all the important information so hierarchy was key. Fun shapes and colors help draw the eyes across the pages to pair information to their pictures and create a matching game for kids. Go "rainbowe!"!
